Follow the story and the adventure of Albek Comrade's John Prutti (Prutti) and Caroline Buchanan as they took off to Europe, the USA and Canada to chase the world tour over the 2022 Season !!
"From Australia - Slovakia - Austria - Spain - US - Canada - Germany - Australia it has been an insane 4.5 months.
With travelling now well and truly open and events back in full swing, Myself and CB packed our bags for a massive few months of events, filming and riding.
We started our trip in Slovakia as CB had a FMB Slopestyle event at bikepark kalnica. It was by far one of the most underrated and epic bikeparks we've ever seen. Cb crushed it and we got a bunch of filming done for some upcoming projects.
Next stop was Barcelona - Spain for a week of riding before crankworx. Barcelona was on the schedule so we could go ride LaPoma bike park, a must see to be believed bike park. It was such a fun week there riding - Until I had a small incident breaking my left foot.
Not ideal as we were heading to Crankworx - Innsbruck the next day, however it's all part of the fun!
Crankworx Innsbruck was a massive week, being on crutches and working on the production team for Crankworx was a mission but stoked to get through it. So many Aussies and Albek comrades were there and crushing it which was epic to see!
Next stop was California, unfortunately I had to miss racing mammoth moto which was a tough pill to swallow but it opened opportunities like going to X-Games as support crew.
After a couple short weeks of rehab and healing, I was back on the moto and riding just about every track or compound Southern California had to offer.
One day I'd be riding the Maddison compound, the next would be Pala raceway and the next would be some drains in Downtown LA. It ended up being such a rad 8 weeks in California riding some of the best spots with some legends of the sport.
After a bunch of bike time, it was back to the airport heading north to Canada for Whistler Crankworx. This event was one for the ages, such a massive turnout and insane riding by all involved. Once again I was filming for Crankworx, however, this week was much easier not having to be on crutches haha.
Next was our last stop in Nurnberg Germany for the Red Bull District Ride. Over 120,000 spectators turned out over the two days to witness one of the craziest MTB slopestyle events on this planet. CB, unfortunately, had a pretty big accident, fortunately, there were no broken bones, so we were headed home!
It was a massive few months and living out of a suitcase for that long is never easy, add Mtb's and moto gear to the baggage allowance and you bet we were cutting it fine. Albek's super lightweight Atlas bike bag and Meridian Gearbag meant I could pack more than ever before without going over on weight, a huge bonus when traveling to so many countries."
