A CHAMPIONSHIP TO REMEMBER
MXGP – SEASON WRAP UP
BUILT FOR THE WORLD STAGE

Triumph Factory Racing finished the 2026 FIM MX2 World Championship with a 1-2. Guillem Farrés was crowned World Champion and teammate Camden McLellan finished runner-up, 36 points behind.

It's Triumph's first motocross world title, won in only their third year of competition. It's also the first world title for a British manufacturer since BSA and Jeff Smith won the 500cc class in 1965. That's a 61-year wait. Triumph took the MX2 Manufacturers' title too.

FROM FIRST PODIUM TO WORLD CHAMPIONS

Triumph made its Grand Prix debut in Argentina in 2024 and reached the podium that same weekend. The team's first moto win came in 2025. In March this year, McLellan won Spain, Triumph's first-ever Grand Prix overall. From there, the team took off.

By the end of the season, Triumph had won 11 of the 19 Grands Prix, along with 21 moto wins, 26 podiums and eight double podiums. Farrés, a 23-year-old from Spain, won six GPs and 14 motos, including four Grands Prix in a row over the summer. McLellan, from South Africa, had his best season yet with five GP wins and eight podiums. He also won the last two rounds back to back, in China and Australia.

SEALED UNDER THE DARWIN SKY

The championship ended at Hidden Valley in Darwin, in front of more than 23,000 fans. In the first moto, McLellan took the win and Farrés finished second right behind him. That result sealed the title with points still on the table. McLellan went on to win the MX2 overall, so the season ended the way it had been run: the two Triumph teammates at the front.

KAWASAKI & ROMAIN FEBVRE: SEVEN YEARS, ONE LAST FIGHT

In MXGP, Kawasaki Racing Team's Romain Febvre came in as the reigning 2025 World Champion, and defending a title is never easy. He fought all season and finished runner-up behind Jeffrey Herlings, with 11 podiums. He closed it out with a 2-2 in Darwin. It's the third world championship silver of his career, earned at almost 35 as the oldest rider on the grid.

Darwin was also Febvre's last Grand Prix in Kawasaki green. Over seven years with the team (2020–2026) he won the 2025 MXGP World Championship, took 55 podiums and won more than a dozen Grands Prix.

"It is never easy to defend the title, so I am proud to take the silver medal for the third time in my career." – Romain Febvre

Thank you, Romain and Kawasaki, for all the success, trust and incredible moments you've shared with Albek. It's been an amazing journey to be part of.

19 ROUNDS. FIVE CONTINENTS. NO SHORTCUTS.

The season started in Argentina and finished in Darwin. In between were 19 Grands Prix across South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. At every round, our gear travelled with the teams.

Long-haul flights, brutal tracks, extreme conditions. That's exactly where we want to be.

It's proof of what we build and why we build it. World championship-winning factory teams trust Albek to carry their gear around the globe.
