2023 Enduro World Cup- Italy

The third stop of the 2023 Enduro World Cup saw plenty of interesting results, with some fresh faces achieving their best results!
Albek Comrade and defending champion Jesse Melamed (Canyon Factory Racing) stamped his authority on the trails of Pietra Ligure to triumph at the World Cup in Finale Outdoor Region.
Taking out Two stage wins apiece and was simply too consistently fast for his rivals on six fast, chunky, and technical tracks above the azure waters of the Ligurian Sea in Italy.
Jesse Melamed “I was fifth on the first stage but followed that with a win on stage 2 which gave me the race lead. I held a 2-6 second lead throughout the day. I had a lead of about 5 seconds going into this stage and just needed to have a solid stage to keep the win. “

Challenging Jesse all day was Rhys Verner from the Forbidden Synthesis Team who took another career-best result as he took home the silver medal after he previously secured fourth place at the opening round of the season in Maydena. Teammate Canadian Emmy Lan took a dominating win in the U21 Women’s race and secured the Overall leader’s jersey!

It was an impressive weekend overall for all Albek Comrades, Dimitri Tordo from Canyon factory racing, broke into the top five for his best EWS Race result with a 4th overall!
A long day of exhaustion after a not-so-great week of health leading into the event. Jack Moir held it together to put down a solid result considering the circumstances and finished 11th overall for the weekend.
Sasha Kim finished the day in 6th in U21’s and continues to lead the overall series! It was hard da for him to get into a good rhythm, but still had a great consistent race!
Pivot Factory Racing had a great weekend out, with Morgan Charre taking the win for the pro Women’s field! Ed Master’s unfortunately a tough day in the saddle constantly picking battles with the ground and suffered a DNF. Matt Walker also suffered some maijor mechanical dramas with a snapped chain which he lost  half way down stage 2, this meant a run pump and scooter session was on. He managed a decent run to make it to stages 3 and 4 Matt Salvaged a 29th.

Onto the next Enduro World Cup in Leogang in just over a week’s time.
